The Unley Swimming Club depends on the support of volunteers. The committee comprises parents of swimmers from the club and carry out the operations of the swimming club on a voluntary basis. Parents of swimmers are required to volunteer as follows:

Swim Meets and Carnivals

Swimming SA require all SA clubs to supply technical officials and timekeepers for all Swimming SA meets. It is a requirement for all Unley members to volunteer to fill these roles, as required by the Club.

Types of roles include:

• Team Manager: Organizing the children for their events at carnivals/competitions
• Timekeeper: Timing races with a stopwatch
• Official at Carnivals: Examples; Starter, Check Starter, Judge of Stroke, Marshal, or Inspector of Turns

Fundraising

All members and their families are required to assist with fundraising activities, including but not limited to Annual Unley carnival, BBQs, club championships, raffles and product sales.
