So incredibly proud of these two!

Today, Emmy and Jobe competed in the 5km open water event in Bunbury and delivered some outstanding performances on a national stage

Both swimmers showed confidence, determination and great race execution, producing results they should be incredibly proud of:

🏊‍♀️ Emmy (15 yr female)– 6th place, 1:04.44
🏊‍♂️ Jobe (15 yr male) – 7th place, 59:33 ⏱️ breaking the one-hour mark! 🙌🏼

A huge effort from both athletes and a fantastic reflection of the hard work they continue to put in. Very proud of you both!👏 ...

Today, Sutton and Liam took on some seriously tough, windy conditions at the Australian Open Water Championships in Bunbury, WA — powering through a gruelling 7.5km swim like absolute champs. 💪

An incredible effort and outstanding results in conditions that tested everyone out there:

Sutton (16 yr female) - 6th place – 1:44.08
Liam (17 yr male) - 11th place – 1:39.21

So proud of the grit, determination and heart shown today. What an achievement — the Unley crew is cheering loud from home! 👏🏽

What a huge day down in Geelong at the Victorian Open Water State Championships — and wow, did our Unley crew absolutely bring the heat!

🏅 Jobe dominated the 14yrs boys 5km, taking GOLD in a ripping time of 1:03:21

🏅 Emmy powered through the 14yrs girls 5km, claiming GOLD in 1:06:57

🏅 Sutton showed incredible strength and stamina in the 15yrs girls 7.5km, finishing strong to take GOLD in 1:38:53

That’s three swimmers, three races, three GOLD medals 🥇🥇🥇

💧 Our carnival is a huge deal for our volunteers and sponsors! This year we must mention our newest major club sponsor in Westminster School, and the amazing team from WestSwim that have helped to ensure the mammoth effort that is our carnival runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Good Luck to Our Open Water Stars!

This Thursday, three of our Unley swimmers are heading north to compete at the 2025 Queensland Open Water Championships in Coolum on Saturday, 25th October!

⭐Sutton Miller (SA Flippers Squad – Open Water) will be taking on the 7.5km swim.

⭐Jobe Bevan and ⭐Emmy Findlay (SA Development Squad – Open Water) will each tackle the 5km event.

They’ll be joined by our very own Head Coach, Craig Jones who will be coaching the South Australian Open Water Squad of eight athletes at this state event. 👏

We’re so proud of Sutton, Jobe, and Emmy for earning their place in this competition — what an incredible achievement!

Best of luck to all our swimmers from South Australia — we can’t wait to hear how you go!
