Club Membership

All swimmers in any squad are required to join the Club as a member. This involves completing and returning a membership form and payment of the necessary membership fee.

On completion of Come and Try Sessions, new swimmers need to join up as members to continue training with the Club.

The membership year runs from 1st October to 30th September. All continuing members are required to renew their membership at the beginning of October.

The membership fee includes a Club, Swimming SA and Swimming Aust components. It also provides insurance cover for members whilst training and competing. It is a requirement to be a financial and have up-to-date details with Swimming SA before swimmers can participate in any competitions.

 The Club offers several different categories of membership with fees structured to reflect the type of membership, the time of joining as well as discounts for additional family members. The types of membership categories are:

  • Swimmer Member
  • Non-Swimmer Member
  • Life Member
  • Registered Official Member

Members under the age of 18 are required to have a parent join as Non-Swimmer Member.

Swimmer Member

A Swimmer Member:

  1. Shall be entitled to participate as a competitor in club events, subject to meeting any applicable qualification or requirement.
  2. Shall be entitled to vote at Annual General Meetings provided the member has attained the age of 18 years.
  3. Shall be registered by the Club with Swimming SA.
  4. Is eligible to be elected as an officer or committee member provided the member has attained the age of 18 years.

Non-Swimmer Member

A Non-Swimmer Member is classified as any member that does not fall into the Swimmer, Registered Official or Life Member categories. A non-swimmer member:

  1. May be (but is not required to be) a parent or guardian of a competitor member or a coach or employee of the Club.
  2. Shall not be entitled to participate as a competitor in club events unless authorised by the committee.
  3. Shall be entitled to vote at Annual General Meeting provided the member has attained the age of 18 years.
  4. Shall be registered by the Club with Swimming SA.
  5. Is eligible to be elected as an officer or committee member.
